Molokai Arts Center Chosen to Participate in Aloha For Hawaii Charities

Molokai Arts Center has been chosen by Friends of Hawaii Charities to participate in “Aloha for Hawaii Charities” which is a donor matching campaign. Friends of Hawaii Charities is a nonprofit that raises money for Hawaii charities by sponsoring the annual Sony Open in Hawaii professional golf tournament. With 144 of the world’s greatest golfers arriving to play on Oahu from January 6 to 12, 2014, the tournament is expected to raise over one million dollars for Hawaii charities, with at least $100,000 being divided among the “Aloha for Hawaii Charities” participants.

Donate to Molokai Arts Center through the website friendsofhawaii.org between December 1, 2013 and January 12, 2014, we will receive 100% of your donation PLUS a matching donation from funds raised at the Sony Open in Hawaii. This program is a win-win for everyone. You get a tax deduction, your donation will be compounded by the booster donation, and the contributions will help Molokai Arts Center educate and serve Molokai children, adults, residents and visitors during the coming year.

Molokai Arts Center was selected from over 100 eligible charities because we are a very small nonprofit without access to wealthy donor bases and because we have shown our ability to leverage limited resources to achieve positive results for hundreds of beneficiaries.
